Age: Birthdate range is 5/1/21 to 4/30/23
Price: $125
MBA Recommendation: All 3 and 4 year old's should play T-ball regardless of skill, attention
level or prior baseball experience.
Rules: A Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) baseball will be used. It is the same size as a regulation
baseball, but it is softer. All players will hit from a batting tee for the entire spring session.
Team Announcements: You will receive notification of your child’s team placement on or
before March 27th.
Practices: Practices will begin on or after March 30th. Teams will be scheduled to practice once
or twice each week from March 30th through the start of regular season. Coaches may
schedule practices throughout the season depending on field availability. Season start dates
are weather permitting.
Practice Times: Practices will be scheduled as early as 5:15 pm on Monday through Friday and
on Saturday as early as 9am.
Season Length (games): Mid-April through June 13th. (weather permitting)
Typical Game Schedule: We will make every effort to make sure that every team plays a
minimum of 8 games (weather permitting).
Games Per Week: During the first part of the season, teams will have one practice and one
game each week. (NOTE, If there are an odd number of teams, then each week one team may
be asked play two games.) Toward the end of the season, most teams may have 2 games
during week and may have a reduced number of practices.
Game Schedule: Games will be scheduled as early as 5:15 pm Monday thru Friday and on
Saturday as early as 9am. No games will be scheduled on Sundays.
Practice and Game Locations: Adams Township Park
Team Assignments: Players will be placed on teams without a formal player evaluation. The
Commissioner will attempt to balance teams based on the age of the players and the known
skill level of the players.
Player Requests: If two players want to play with each other, both must submit the same
request on the website during registration. Although we cannot guarantee any placement
request, we will try to honor placement requests between 2 players so long as both request to
play together and we can still maintain a proportional balance of ages and abilities on
teams. No requests to play for a certain coach are permitted.
Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats, jerseys and practice/game
balls. Players will want to purchase gray baseball pants, glove, batting helmet, USA Baseball
approved bat, and cleats. Players may want to purchase a bat bag and chest protector.
Mars Baseball Play-Up Policy: As a policy, Mars Baseball does not typically allow players to play outside of their respective age level. Although some players may exhibit some natural talents toward the game and their parents think they are ready to play baseball with older players, most kids will benefit greatly by playing in their actual age group. However, we do recognize the April 30th cut-off date defined by Pony Baseball may prevent some kids from playing with their classmates. In an effort to allow players to play with their respective grade level, play-up requests will be taken for these players with a birth date of May 1st thru July 1st. Any player requesting to play up that fits this criteria should register for their correct age group and then contact Mars Baseball at
[email protected] requesting to play up. Play-up requests outside of this will not be granted.
Late Registration: There is a very short timeframe to get teams selected and jerseys ordered prior to the season, so after registration closes there will be no late registrations accepted.
