Description: 6 inning game. Mars Baseball typically participates in the Bronco League other local associations like Brad-Mar-Pine Bronco. No player may pitch more than 2 innings during any game.
Team Announcements: You will receive notification of your child’s team placement on or before March 29th.
Practices: Practices will begin on or after April 1. Teams will be scheduled to practice once or twice each week from April 1 through Baseball Opening Day.
Practice Times: Practices will be scheduled as early as 5:30pm on Monday through Friday
Season Length (games): The season will begin the week of April 15 and the playoffs will conclude the week of June 10th.
Typical Game Schedule: 12-14 scheduled regular season games plus playoffs, depending on the number of teams in the league. We will make every effort to make sure that every team plays a minimum of 10 games during the regular season (weather permitting).
Time of Games: Games will be played Monday through Friday at 6pm or 8pm – typically 2 games per week.
Practice Locations: Adams Township Park
Game Locations: Home games are played at Veterans Field or Rotary and away games may be played in Wexford, Cranberry or Zelienople, depending on the opponent.
Team Assignments: Players will be placed on teams with an effort to balance the teams and be competitive with the other communities. We cannot guarantee placement of any player with any team or coach.
Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats, jerseys and practice/game balls. Most players prefer to purchase their own bat although they can typically borrow a bat from a teammate. All bats must be USA approved only. Players will also need to purchase a helmet, gray baseball pants and cleats and may want to purchase a bat bag.
