2025 Summer Sandlot 5U and 6U (Coach Pitch)
Age: Birthdate range is 5/1/18 to 4/30/20. This date range is such because there aren’t enough players to have individual 5U and 6U leagues in the summer. This league may be combined with the 7/8U Summer League depending on level of interest.
Price: $65
Description A Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) baseball will be used. It is the same size as a regulation baseball, but it is softer. Batters will receive 7 pitches from the coach. If they don't hit the ball, then they will have the opportunity to hit the ball with soft toss/tee. The entire season is coach pitch. Games are 5 innings in length with a one and a half hour time limit.
Team Assignments: The Commissioner will attempt to balance teams based on the age of the players and the known skill level of the players. You will receive notification of your child’s team placement the last week of June.
Practices: None
Season Length: 7/7 thru 7/31.
Game Schedule: We plan to schedule 8 games (weather dependent) that will occur Monday thru Thursday as early as 5:30pm. No games Friday thru Sunday. Makeups due to weather are at coaches discretion.
Game Locations: Adams Township Park and Mars School fields
Player Requests: If two players want to play with each other, both must submit the same request on the website during registration. Although we cannot guarantee any placement request, we will try to honor placement requests between 2 players so long as both request to play together.
Equipment Needed: The league does not provide jerseys or hats for summer sandlot ball. Players need baseball pants, glove, batting helmet, USA Baseball approved bat, and cleats.
