Practice and Game Locations: Adams Township Park, Mars School fields, and other Local Organizations. There will be an attempt to partner with other local 9/10u organizations in the fall.
Team Assignments: At an in-person meeting with the Commissioner and Head Coach of each team, teams will be balanced through a draft based on the evaluated skill level of the players.
Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats (if purchased), jerseys and practice/game balls. Most players prefer to purchase their own bat although they can typically borrow a bat from a teammate. All bats must be USA Baseball Approved Only. Players will also need to purchase a helmet, gray baseball pants, chest protector, and cleats and may want to purchase a bat bag.
Mars Baseball Play-Up Policy: As a policy, Mars Baseball does not typically allow players to play outside of their respective age level. Although some players may exhibit some natural talents toward the game and their parents think they are ready to play baseball with older players, most kids will benefit greatly by playing in their actual age group. However, we do recognize the April 30
th cut-off date defined by Pony Baseball may prevent some kids from playing with their classmates. In an effort to allow players to play with their respective grade level, play-up requests will be taken for these players with a birth date of May 1
st thru July 1
st. Any player requesting to play up that fits this criteria should register for their correct age group and then contact Mars Baseball at
[email protected] requesting to play up. Play-up requests outside of this will not be granted.
Late Registration: There is a very short timeframe to get teams selected and jerseys ordered prior to the season, so after registration closes there will be no late registrations accepted.
