2025 Fall Farm American League (5U and 6U as of April 30, 2026)
Age: Birthdate range is 5/1/19 to 4/30/21
Price: $125 or $140 if player needs a hat
Description: A Reduced Injury Factor (RIF) baseball will be used. It is the same size as a regulation baseball, but it is softer. Batters will receive 7 pitches from the coach. If they don't hit the ball, then they will have the opportunity to hit the ball with soft toss/tee. The entire season is coach pitch. Games are 4-5 innings in length with a time limit of one and a half hours.
Team Assignments: Players will be placed on teams without a formal player evaluation. The Commissioner will attempt to balance teams based on the age of the players and the known skill level of the players.
Team Announcements: You will receive notification of your child’s team placement on or before August 29th.
Practices: Practices will be scheduled the week of September 1st and then held at the coach’s discretion once games begin. Teams will be scheduled to practice at least once before games begin.
Practice Times: Practices will be scheduled as early as 5:15 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturday as early as 9am.
Season Length (games): As early as September 6th through October 25th. (Weather Dependent on end date)
Typical Game Schedule: We will make every effort to make sure that every team plays a minimum of 8 games (weather permitting).
Games Per Week: Typically two games per week. Games will be scheduled as early as 5:15 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturday as early as 9am.
Practice and Game Locations: Mars VFW, Mars Primary Center, and others TBD
Player Requests: If two players want to play with each other, both must submit the same request. Although we cannot guarantee any placement request, we will try to honor placement requests between 2 players so long as both request to play together and we can still maintain a proportional balance of abilities on 5U/6U teams. No requests to play for a certain coach are permitted.
Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats (if purchased), jerseys and practice/game balls. Players will want to purchase gray baseball pants, chest protector, glove, batting helmet, USA Baseball approved bat, and cleats. Players may want to purchase a bat bag.
Mars Baseball Play-Up Policy: As a policy, Mars Baseball does not typically allow players to play outside of their respective age level. Although some players may exhibit some natural talents toward the game and their parents think they are ready to play baseball with older players, most kids will benefit greatly by playing in their actual age group. However, we do recognize the April 30
th cut-off date defined by Pony Baseball may prevent some kids from playing with their classmates. In an effort to allow players to play with their respective grade level, play-up requests will be taken for these players with a birth date of May 1
st thru July 1
st. Any player requesting to play up that fits this criteria should register for their correct age group and then contact Mars Baseball at
[email protected] requesting to play up. Play-up requests outside of this will not be granted.
Late Registration: There is a very short timeframe to get teams selected and jerseys ordered prior to the season, so after registration closes there will be no late registrations accepted.
