Registration: Registration is closed for the Fall 2023 Season
Rules: The Fall Farm League is for players who are 6, 7, and 8 years old as of April 30, 2024.
The League uses a standard little league baseball that is harder than the Reduced Injury Factor ball used in the T-ball/Intro to Coach Pitch league. In the Fall Farm League, batters will receive 7 pitches from the coach. If they don't hit the ball or have 3 swinging strikes, the batter is out. The entire season is coach pitch. Games are 6 innings in length with a two-hour time limit.
Team Announcements: You will receive notification of your child’s team placement on or before the end of August 25th. ***(This date is subject to change based on Mars Baseball being able to identify a commissioner and coaches for teams in a timely manner) ***
Practices: Practices will be scheduled as early as August 26th and then held at the coach’s discretion once games begin. Teams will be scheduled to practice at least once before games begin.
Practice Times: Practices will be scheduled as early as 5:30pm Monday through Friday and 9am on Saturday.
Fall Opening Day: Tentatively will be Saturday, September 2nd.
Season Length (games): As early as August 26th through November 3rd. (Weather Dependent on end)
Typical Game Schedule: We will make every effort to make sure that every team plays a minimum of 10 games (weather permitting).
Games Per Week: During the first part of the season, teams will have two games each week to maximize the possibility of playing in good weather.
Game Schedule: Games will be scheduled as early as 5:30pm on Monday through Friday and as early as 9am on Saturday.
Practice and Game Locations: Adams Township Park Rotary Field and Adams 1&2.
Player Requests: If two players want to play with each other, both must submit the same request in the comment section when registering. Although we cannot guarantee any placement request, we will try to honor placement requests between 2 players so long as both requests to play together and we can still maintain a proportional balance of ages and abilities on teams. No requests to play for a certain coach are permitted.
Costs: $115/$130 if player requests a hat
Equipment Provided/Equipment Needed: The league provides hats (if needed/purchased separately), jerseys and practice/game balls, and protective gear for the pitcher & catcher’s fielding position.
Players will need to purchase/have a batting helmet, glove and bat for sanitary and safety reasons. Players will also need to purchase gray baseball pants and cleats and may want to purchase a bat bag.
