2026 Softball Winter Training

Winter Softball Training Is Back!

Get ready to sharpen your skills, build your confidence, and have fun with teammates this winter! We’re thrilled to announce that Winter Training at Lakevue Athletic Club kicks off Saturday, January 24th through March 14th.

This is your chance to level up before spring season — all sessions will focus on skill development, teamwork, and game readiness.

Trainings are every Saturday.

$150 per player for the full 8-week session.

Session Schedule

8U & 10U (Ages 7–10): 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Pitching (All Ages): 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

(It’s never too early — or too late — to learn how to dominate the mound!)

12U & Up (Ages 11–15): 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Each session will focus on the core fundamentals of softball: fielding, throwing, catching, hitting, base running, and building softball IQ. Whether you’re new to the game or preparing for your next big season, this program is the perfect way to stay active and grow your game during the off-season.

We’ll also be joined by upperclassman varsity players, providing mentorship and guidance for younger athletes.

(And yes — we’re always happy to welcome new volunteers to help out!)

Special Pitching Instruction with Sherry Freed

We’re beyond excited to welcome Sherry Freed, one of the area’s most respected pitching instructors, to lead our winter pitching program!

Meet Sherry Freed

Over 30 years of experience coaching pitchers of all ages and skill levels

Former Ambridge High School star and West Liberty University full-scholarship athlete

Taught pitching clinics at Robert Morris College from 1993–2005

Helped transition local leagues from slow pitch to fast pitch softball

Actively coaches for Ambridge Bridgers Rec, Freedom Rec, and various travel programs

Sherry brings decades of knowledge, energy, and passion to every session, helping players master mechanics, build confidence, and reach their full potential on the mound.
