8 Week Winter Softball Training
This offseason Mars Baseball and Fast Pitch Association has teamed up with Home PI8 Softball training to provide our players off season instructions on hitting and pitching. All sessions will be ran by the Home Pl8 staff who are all former and current college softball players.
WHEN: Training will begin on the week of January 7th. (Dates and times TBA at a later date. Early indication from Home Pl8 suggests that training will be held on Sunday morning with the first training starting at 9AM and the last starting at Noon) All training will run 1 hour in length.

COST: Each program is $160 for the entire 8 weeks. Any athlete that participates in winter training will receive a discount code for $60 off Spring Softball Registration. (Code will be emailed after registration closes)

WHAT: All Training Sessions will include the following below:
Hitting Fundamentals
In this program, athletes will be in person 1 day a week and have drills with video instruction at home 1 day a week. Athletes are committed to one day of swinging at home for optimal results. This program will build each week and focus on different parts of the swing, athletes will go through drills that focus on hand/eye coordination, timing and pitch selection. By the end of the program, athletes will have a full understanding of all aspects of their swing and what areas need more work.
Advanced Hitting
In this program, athletes will be in person 1 day a week and have drills with video instruction at home 1 day a week. Athletes are committed to one day of swinging at home for optimal results. In this program athletes are expected to understand all basic fundamentals of the swing as they will work on enhancing power, bat speed, and refine pitch selection while improving their swings. Athletes will also go through drills that focus on hand/eye coordination and timing. By the end of the program, athletes will increase power in their swings and completely understand the areas needed to improve.
Fundamental Pitching
Athletes will learn the basics of pitching and proper form. This program is for new pitchers or those with under a year of experience. Athletes are expected to pitch at home an additional 2 days a week.
Advanced Pitching
Athletes will work through drills and learn different pitches to add to their pitch selection. In addition, athletes will work on conditioning to improve stamina in the circle. Athletes should understand the basic fundamentals of pitching with at least 2-3 years pitching in games. Athletes will have take home drills and workouts in this program.
